Haiti - U17 Football : The Grenadiers Caribbean champions, defeated Jamaica [2-0]

Sunday at Sylvio Cator stadium, as part of the first edition of the Caribbean Cup, front of more that 10,000 spectators, our young Grenadiers have imposed themselves in the final against Jamaica [2-0] thanks to a a double from Jacques Saül Metellus (2 penalties).

The Prime Minister, Laurent Lamothe welcomed the victory of the National Men's U17 football Selection, a victory that contributes according to him "To enhance the image of the country and enshrines the talent of our young Grenadiers".

Recall that during the Caribbean Cup, our national team had defeated Barbados [2-0], St. Lucia [6-1] and Trinidad & Tobago [2-0], with a total of 12 goals scored in this tournament and its resounding victory against Jamaica, our national team has qualified for the final round of the FIFA U-17 World Cup Chile 2015.

On the Podium, Haiti occupies the first place with the title of Champion, Jamaica Vice champion and Cuba occupies the 3rd place after its victory against St. Lucia [2.0]. The three countries are qualified for the final round.

Besides the title of Champion, the best goalkeeper trophy was awarded to the player Haitian, Emmanuel Chéry.

The Ministry of Youth, Sports and Civic Action, announced that arrangements are already taken to support the national selections in the country.
